Born in Memphis, Tennessee, and raised in the San Joaquin Valley, Dr. Holland graduated from the U.C. Berkeley School of Optometry in 1966, after undergraduate study at U.C. Santa Barbara. He and his wife Flor, have four wonderful children, and one of them Paul, Jr., will join the practice as an Ophthalmologist in June of 2009. Dr. Holland is a longtime member of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association and the U.C. Berkeley Alumni Association. Among his hobbies are flying, scuba diving, fishing, hunting, mushroom foraging, painting, traveling, winemaking, cooking, gardening and swimming – having completed the Alcatraz to Fisherman’s Wharf swim twice in the past few years.
